Great Smoky Mountains Spring Workshop
(May TBD, 2018)
Join us for an incredible long weekend of photography instruction, surrounded by amazing spring scenery as we spend our time in the great outdoors of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We will begin our days with sunrise and shoot until sunset, packing the days with a variety of subjects, from the incredible spring wildflowers to mountain streams, waterfalls, historical buildings, and so much more!
As with all nature, the type of flowers can be unpredictable, but we have chosen a historical weekend for wildflower and flowering tree blooms. Workshop locations may change based on foliage and elevation. We want you to have the best experience possible.
The workshop will be limited to a maximum of six participants, allowing you to receive as much or as little instruction as you need. This workshop is designed for all levels of skill, whether you are just starting out, or want to tighten up your technique. Focus will be on shooting in changing light and weather conditions, camera settings, tripod use, effective settings for macro flower photography, running streams, waterfalls, sunrise, sunset, wildlife, and much more. I will be available at all times to answer questions and help you get the most out of your camera. I may also shoot alongside you on occasion, to help with technique, but the focus is all on you getting the best shots from your equipment.
Transportation and meals are not included, but we will be based in Townsend, TN.
It is recommended that you arrive on Thursday to be ready for an early morning start on Friday. We will shoot all day Friday and Saturday and end around noon on Sunday on the north side of GSMNP.
Foxglade Photography Tours operates under authorized permit of the National Park Service.
